Congratulations Sarah!

We are pleased to announced that our wonderful conductor, Sarah Wijngaarden, has been awarded the  Performing Arts Teacher Recognition Award by the New South Wales Department of Education Arts Unit.  She is one of three teachers in New South Wales to be honoured this year. Our warmest congratulations to Sarah.

The award was announced at the Festival of Instrumental Music, the annual celebration of music achievement at the Opera House.

Sarah helped to set up our orchestra here at West Ryde nearly 5 years ago, and has worked tirelessly on many music events with the students.  She also runs orchestras at Meadowbank Public School and Cumberland High School.
